'First world problem' is a common term often heard, but how is this actually affecting us?

Strive Author Dr Adam Fraser says the assumption "negative emotion is bad and bad for you" and "positive emotion is good and good for you" is unhelpful to helping individuals deal with hurt and struggle.

"When so-called 'privileged children' express their dissatisfaction or discomfort in a situation they get told to get over themselves and appreciate what they have," Dr Fraser said.”
